White Christmas

Due to a broken camera battery, it's been a while since I posted any pictures. But now I have so many things I'd like to post, the thought of catching up is keeping me from posting at all! So I won't try to give any updates for the last month, except briefly for Christmas. We spent Christmas in Utah with the Kinateder family. It was a lot of fun, Hyrum loved having so many people around to play with, especially his little cousins - and the maltese, Sidney. It was a good thing for everyone Hyrum wasn't crawling yet, he would get so excited every time Sidney would come near him, and scoot after her as fast as his little tummy would let him, but she had plenty of time to get away. She also figured out a good offensive move - every time Hyrum would get near and reach out his hands to grab her curly white coat, she'd lick him in the face and he would immediately back off. We're so glad Grandma & Grandpa Kinateder let us stay for the holidays, it was a very memorable Christmas and so good to see the whole family.
We had a White Christmas! Grace, Hyrum and Madeline looking out at the snow falling in Provo.
Christmas morning, our only Christmas picture with all three of us together.
It's a bit hard to see, but in Hyrum's right hand is a little spatula. It was his favorite Christmas gift (never mind that it was in Mom's stocking). Now that we're home, he will still carry it around with him until we take it away. It's just the right size and texture to use for poking at things, banging on them, and biting when the need arises (which it does often since he's currently working on his fifth & sixth tooth)
Since Hyrum got a yucky cold a couple days before Christmas, he wasn't feeling very good. This is one of the few pictures of him smiling on Christmas - helping dad play with his new tent. Thanks Uncle Kyle.
I couldn't help adding these pictures - Grandma's sink was just the right size for a bath, and had a built-in toy.

We're so sorry we missed you in Utah, but it does get so crazy with the family. We hardly saw anyone that we knew was in town :) Hyrum is getting so cute! We hope to see you guys soon.

ha! These are great photos, especially that last one. And the maltese french kisses? Priceless.
