Summer Vacation
Well now that it's almost October, I suppose my summer vacation from blogging is over. I have some pictures from our vacations this summer to Yellowstone and Utah that I've been meaning to post, so here they are. I'll try to add a little commentary so the pictures make sense.
This is "The Cabin". My great-grandfather Oleen Dummer built this cabin up in Island Park, Idaho, and I grew up visiting it in the summers, and snowmobiling in the winter. I hadn't been there in many years, but it holds so many good memories for me. We stayed a couple nights here with Ryan's sister Kristen and brother Kyle and their spouses on our way to Yellowstone. I love everything about this place & hope to go again soon.

We went rafting at Mack's Inn - it was beautiful, but 2 hours on a little raft was a bit long for Hyrum. He did pretty good, but I think everyone was glad when we made it back to the Inn.
Our campsite at Yellowstone - nothing to be proud of. Hyrum spent a lot of time in the car while we were at the campsite. It kept him out of trouble, and it's his favorite place to hang out anyway.

After a few days in Yellowstone, we camped one night at Jackson Lake. It was a beautiful campsite, and Ryan's parents joined us on this day. Mmm. We sure ate good that night!

Old Faithful, and a couple rare photos of me (I'm usually the one behind the camera).

After Yellowstone we stopped in Provo for a few days, then headed down to Junction, UT for my family reunion. My grandparents arranged for all of us to stay in this renovated courthouse for a few days. It was a great place to all be together. There were about 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a big dining room and kitchen, and a large game room. We filled it completely with the Holyoak family - including a few of us in tents outside.
I couldn't end without some pictures with cousin Luke, Hyrum loved playing with him while we were in Provo, wished we lived closer to all the cousins!
We took Hyrum and Luke to the petting farm at Thanksgiving Point. Hyrum really liked feeding the goats & cows.

I just love this picture. I couldn't get Hyrum to come out of the little jail for quite a while. Maybe I should redecorate his room.
And finally, after 3 weeks away from home, we made it back. The Jacksons (my sister Tracy's family) stopped at our place for a couple days before they headed back home, so we got to spend some time with just them, and Hyrum wished cousin Tyler could have stayed much longer, he followed him everywhere.
