Halloween Lion

When I first got this lion costume for Hyrum a few weeks ago, he absolutely refused to wear it. If I even showed him the hood, he would cry and run the other way. But it was too cute to give up on, so we used a little peer pressure to change his mind. A little friend of his, Victoria, loves to wear hats. And Hyrum adores Victoria. So we invited her over, and when she put the lion hood on we all made a big deal about how cute she looked. She then took it off and wanted Hyrum to wear it. Problem solved.

Hyrum and I at the ward Halloween party and Trunk-or-Treat. We combined with another ward and it was a great success. We had a lot of fun playing games and popping balloons.

When it came time for the actual Trunk-or-Treat part of the night, Hyrum and Dad only made it to about three cars before he got so distracted playing with some balloons he brought outside that they called it good. So he didn't get much candy (a good thing) but had fun playing with Dad while I handed out candy to the rest of the treaters.

Just a couple pictures of our Jack-O-Lanterns this year. We gave Hyrum a pumpkin to color on, but he refused to let us cut it open.
