This is how it all started. Last Wednesday night when I went in to check on little Hyrum before going to bed, he looked so sweet with his head on his pillow, blanket on (unusual), with his arms wrapped around his puppies. So I sent Ryan down to take a picture. But the calm sweetness was deceptive. He woke up crying around 3am, and I went in to find he'd thrown-up. We've been lucky I suppose that this is the first time we've had to deal with throw-up as parents at all. Why does it always happen in the middle of the night? Well, I changed his clothes and the sheets - it wasn't too bad - and hoped it was just a one-time puke and we could all go back to sleep. Nope. He kept going every 10-15 minutes for 4 hours. My poor baby. After several changes of clothes for both of us, it gradually slowed down & stopped at 11:00am. Ryan was down helping out of course, throwing things in the wash & getting anything I needed, and just staying close for support the whole time. How could anyone do this on their own? Well, I'm just glad to say it's over - we had one more puking incident a couple nights later (also in the middle of the night, and although in some ways it was worse, at least it was only one puke) - he seems to be fully recovered.

Just a few pictures to show what else we've been up to:

Helping Dad build a stool from IKEA. He loved putting the screws in the holes. I've rarely seen him so absorbed in a project.

Hmmm. What letter was that again? He likes to build towers & knock them down - and these blocks are extra fun because he knows most of the letters and numbers on them.
Kissy faces for Dad.

He loves pointing out when things are the same (We're both wearing black shirts - "SAME!", He and Dad both have hats on - "SAME!", we're all eating dinner on plates - "SAME!". This picture was when he was being the "same" as mom - it's surprisingly close to what my belly looks like - a soccer ball.

A rare smile for the camera. We went to see some of the Christmas festivities in town, they had horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa & Hot Chocolate!

That last picture of him is soo cute!
Sorry about the puke, but I'm glad it didn't last too long for you. Those pictures are so cute! I especially liked the one of Hyrum looking at blocks.
