Happy Thanksgiving

Here's our turkey dinner this year

Actually we headed up to Yakima to enjoy Thanksgiving with Jen's Parents. 

Jens' Sister and family were up from Cedar City so it was fun to see 

Jeff and Barbara and their kids.  The boys loved having cousins to play with.

 Thanksgiving evening Jens parents took as all bowling.

It was a lot of fun I think the boys enjoyed themselves.

 Doh!! One left.

One thing that was really cool (sorry no pictures) while we in Yakima we went exploring down a drained canal, looking for ice to play on.  It took us a while but we finally found some (about 5-8 inches deep).  The boys don't see a lot of ice so it was fun for them to slide on and smash  What we didn't expect to find were 19" frozen rainbow trout in the ice!!  It was crazy!!  They looked perfectly fine.  Clear eyes, bring red sides and just frozen there in the ice.  There were a bunch of minnows, some of them even alive and twitching at the deepest part of the ice where there was still a little water.  But among those minnows we saw about a dozen nice perfectly frozen fish 13-19 inches long.  The boys immediately wanted to chip them out and take them home and eat them.  I liked their enthusiasm, and the fish looked well preserved, but after they chipped out the largest (the 19 incher) we thought it best to leave them alone.  

Anyway its motivation to go fishing next year after they drain the canal.

I also found a dead goat further down the canal.  No motivation to see that again.
