The boys (Hyrum and Isaac) and I went camping to Salt Creek state park

This is part of our reconnaissance mission for the family reunion

They have both car/tent camping and RV hookups.  

We weren't really able to explore the tide pools while 

we were there but it looked like they had some nice ones. 

Many of the campsites are right there on the edge overlooking the tidepools

There was a fun hike to some old military bunkers.  

The parl also had some big open fields and playground equipment for the kids.

It is really busy and most of the campsites are already booked 

but we might be able to reserve some spots

I'll call this week to get dates from everyone and see what options are available.

Here we were checking the tide pools right before it got dark

We arrived just as the sun was setting.
Wished we would have gotten there a little earlier (3 1/2 hour drive)
The next day the tide was up and it was pretty grey and windy
