Blue Angles and Mt Rainier

Wow it's been a while.  I still need to post pictures of my backpacking trip to Colorado.

We've been trying to get out and see more of our state.  This Saturday we packed up everyone and checked out Mount Rainier for a day adventure.  Everyone had fun and was glad we went, ice cream cones at the end finished off a perfect day.

Last week was the Blue Angles, which has been a family tradition, except for last year when they were cancelled... (must of been Obama's fault!)

Can't say Elliot was a big fan of the noise but the rest of us had fun.

OK So yes there was a little ipad action going on while we were waiting for the jets.

The boys were being kind of annoying at this point.  There's a lot of waiting as the blue angels are doing their show over the lake and out of view from where we are.

Day trip to Mount Rainier

A lot of Rock throwing which is always a big deal and endless entertainment in our family.

The hike around Tipsoo lake

The lake was chuck full of tadpoles

and one frog.

Lots of wildflowers 

and "spectacular" views of the mountain!
