Here are some picture I took of Hyrum and I on a last backpacking trip before I started the new job.
He and I backpacked to Pete Lake with a day excursion to Spectacle lake. It was a lot of fun.
5 miles into Pete Lake, then a 10 mile round trip to Spectacle lake, and then 5 miles out the third day.
Hyrum did great! It was 20 miles over 3 days and no complaints. The weather was great. We saw some beautiful scenery, hiked through a burned forest, drank from springs (I forgot the filter in my water purifier), and enjoyed the last trip of the summer. We'll definitely remember Pete lake for another adventure.
