2 years

Our little guy turned two last week! I've been thinking about all the many things he's learned to do in just the last year - amazing how much things have changed. So here are a few things Hyrum learned to do between birthday #1 and birthday #2:

Walk
Run
Climb
Jump
Throw
Walk up & down stairs
Talk (some recent favorites: "Daddy gives Hyrum big meat balls" "Go outside find a stick" & "Hyrum say mine soccer ball, make baby sad") Favorite subject to talk about: the new baby. Most often said phrase: "Mommy watch" (he wants me to watch what he's doing.)
Count to 13
Identify all letters of the alphabet (upper case that is, and most lower case)
Identify basic colors & shapes
Take naps longer than 1/2 hour
Take off his clothes
Pee in the toilet (not consistently, but still.)
Spit
Show the numbers 2, 3 & 4 with his fingers (he's worked on this quite a bit)
Climb up & slide down the slides at the playground by himself (I'm not allowed to help. "Mommy Go!")

And here's some pictures of the birthday boy:

He loves the garbage truck, this is a picture of him dumping the monkey from his new vintage fisherprice train set

Helping decorate his birthday cupcakes

His favorite part of his birthday was having Ryan and I sing the happy birthday song to him, and blowing out the candles. We re-lit the candles 3 times before he was satisfied enough to eat some of the cupcake, then after a few bites, wanted more singing and fire. We also did a repeat the next day at his request.

Wow! I'm really impressed with all Hyrum can do! My boys really like blowing out candles too. Fun stuff!
