Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Kinateder

We had a great visit from Grandma and Grandpa Kinateder in May.  We were glad they were able to spend some extra time after Hyrum's Baptism and help us explore the Washington Peninsula in anticipation for this summers family reunion.  We had wonderful weather while they were up (started raining and has been overcast since they left)
We explored Seattle and the Space Needle and then headed for a two day trip to the coast.

Lots of picture in this post sorry if they seem redundant.  I'm really getting excited for the reunion.

Trip to Seattle and Lunch at the Space Needle

We were able to take a day and visit the Seattle sculpture park along with lunch at the space needle, a special treat for the boys belated birthdays.  The boys really enjoyed it and are now extra excited when they see the space needle.

Someone yelled at Isaac over the loudspeaker
 for kicking the sculpture

It was a long (but fun) Day!

Second Beach and La Push WA

One of our goals was to go out and check out the area for the reunion.  We drove out and saw the house we'll be renting.  We'll try and visit the area again and get a better feel for the house.
We also made it to one of nearby beaches.   We visited Second Beach which is about a 10 minute drive from the house and 30 minute hike (.7 miles)

Here's the only picture with Me, Mom, and Dad.

Mom and Dad were quite the trekkers!!!
even with Mom's poor toe :(

Whales!!!
We actually saw a couple of Grey Whales that were swimming along the shore.
You might have zoom in :)
We could see them blowing water from their blowholes and their backs as they surfaced
Not sure if they'll be around in the summer but make a note to bring binoculars
Elliot did have a bit of a meltdown on the beach.
Later that day he told me that
"He had a rough time at the beach"

Salt Creek Park - Port Angeles WA

This is about 2 hours from La Push not sure if it will be on the agenda for the reunion, but it's become our favorite State Park and beach camping area!  It has a really nice tent camping area with views of the ocean, fun tide pools and this time around we discovered that it has an awesome sandy beach!

Having Grandma and Grandpa around

Even though we enjoyed the adventures it was also just nice to have Grandma and Grandpa around the house to share some of our normal daily routines.

Grandma and Grandpa got to take Isaac to Taekwondo
Isaac was really excited to do an art lesson with Grandpa
Here he is painting Jango Fett

Elliot enjoyed having his Grandma to read with him

It was a Great Week!!
Loved having you visit, Mom and Dad
